The type of fishing that I have chosen to pursue is known as "Sight Fishing". Simply put it is no more than having a "Target" each time you make a cast as opposed to "Blind Casting" or just working open areas of water. "Targets" consist of numerous animate and inanimate objects such as.... the actual fish; the "Nervous" water that fish create as they travel; "Tailing Fish" with their tails out of the water feeding in the shallows; "Bait Sprays" caused by fast moving predators attacking schools of bait; "Oyster Bars"; "Current Rips"; "Rocky Areas"; "Sand Holes"...... The list goes on and on.... All of these are considered "Targets". As in any style of fishing the more accurate the cast the more fish you catch..... It becomes a reward system for honing your casting skills and is just downright "FUN".
